A couple of my favorite people

I haven't spent an overwhelming amount of time with these two, but when I do instant trust, humour and goodwill abound.  They just seem deeply familiar.  Best yet, these two are good to each other.  Last weekend I had the honour of capturing the joyful anticipation of their next adventure. Below are some of my favourite images from their maternity shoot.  And, yes, if you're thinking they look a bit familiar, they are the couple featured on my homepage.

Artist Statement:

These are scenes of a slower time, featuring activities that involve space for lengthy conversations and time to be alone with your thoughts. In our current technology driven climate our temptation is to abbreviate and do several things at once.  Moments such as these, where we allow time for extended rumination or prolonged moments of being still and single-minded seem to be slipping away.  It is comforting to see that these scenes from 2013 still hold a place in our fabric.
